Curriculum

With a focus on both STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths) and outdoor education, each child will learn in an enriching and flexible environment that always has their individual needs in mind. An ethos of self-sustainability, understanding the world and protecting our environment are also important values of the school and we aim to work towards Eco School status.  Children will learn at their own pace, whilst being actively encouraged to challenge themselves; allowing them to realise and achieve their full potential.

The world around us is changing rapidly and The Small School recognises that children need to graduate with a range of skills that are not always cultivated in traditional education.  The development of creative, adaptable, independent and flexible thinkers, who are not afraid to problem solve, are the fundamental aims at the core of the Small School.  As well as this foundation, children will also enjoy a varied curriculum including, but not limited to, PE, Geography, History, languages and PSHE.
